The EXPO 2027 Belgrade branding project, designed by our renowned designer Saša Vidaković, with his London team SVIDesign, won a prestigious international recognition for their work. The silver award was presented by the Graphis publishing house as part of the traditional annual 2025 Design Awards and will become part of the GRAPHIS Design Annual print edition, one of the most important global publications in the field.

The competition for this important recognition takes place every year in the field of design and branding, but also its application on posters, packaging and photographs. Thousands of teams from all over the world then submit their works, hoping to become part of design history and receive the legendary G trophy.

The award-winning EXPO 2027 Belgrade branding project, designed by Saša Vidaković and his SVIDesign team, is based on the recognisable logo of this event, which symbolises the reflection of the Belgrade Fortress in the water at the confluence of the Sava and the Danube, while the logo’s striking colours represent the play of light at different times of the day.

Vidaković reveals that, over the years, he and his team have received several outstanding Graphis awards in various categories, though this year they submitted only one work for the competition – the EXPO 2027 Belgrade branding project. “Among more than a thousand submitted works from all over the world, we received a silver award, which is a great success and makes me extremely proud that we are currently ranked among the most prominent design projects on this planet”, Vidaković said.

The Graphis publishing house from New York runs one of the first magazines specialising exclusively in graphic design, with an 80-year-long tradition as a reference for young and established designers, as well as small and large design agencies from all over the world.

As a reminder, EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027 under the theme “Play for humanity: Sports and Music for All”. It is expected that during the 92 days of the event, more than 3 million people will visit Belgrade, as well as representatives from more than 120 countries, who will present their views on the theme of the exhibition.
