The Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia, Anne Lugon-Moulin, together with the representative of "Presence Switzerland", the agency responsible for the promotion of Switzerland abroad, and the director of the company Expo 2027 Belgrade, Dušan Borovčanin, expressed satisfaction with Switzerland's decision to be the first country to confirm its participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade.
So far, Switzerland has participated in seven Expos in the last 20 years, and has confirmed its participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, as well as in the Specialized Expo to be held in Belgrade in 2027.
The director of Expo 2027 Belgrade, Dušan Borovčanin, expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Switzerland, Anne Lugon-Moulin, for the confirmation and welcomed the team of this country which will be working on the preparation of Switzerland's participation in Expo 2027. "We expect more than 120 countries and international organizations at our Specialized Expo and are extremely pleased that Switzerland is the first country to confirm its participation. Known as a country of wonderful nature, hardworking people, but also its great friendship with Serbia, we look forward to finding out how Switzerland will interpret the theme "Play for Humanity", said Dušan Borovčanin, director of Expo 2027 Belgrade.
"Switzerland is proud to participate in Expo 2027 in Belgrade. This will add an important element to the existing rich and diverse relationship between our two countries. The first Expo in the Western Balkans is considered an opportunity to start a new era of harmony and friendship," said Anne Lugon-Moulin, Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia.
Expo 2027 Belgrade will be held in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027, when more than 4 million visitors are expected during the 92 days of the manifestation, as well as the presentation of more than 120 participating countries.
