The Federal Republic of Germany has officially confirmed its participation at EXPO 2027, which will be held in Belgrade under the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All."
As the most influential and developed country in the European Union, Germany has been a regular participant in International Exhibitions since the first Expo held in 1851 in London. It was also one of the first signatories of the 1928 Paris Convention, which created the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). Germany has previously hosted the World Expo in 2000 in Hanover, two Specialized Exhibitions —in Berlin in 1957 and in Munich in 1965 — as well as five Horticultural Exhibitions.
"We are very proud that in 2027, the third-largest economy in the world and one of Serbia’s most significant trade partners will present its interpretation of play, music, and sport in Belgrade. The presence of the Federal Republic of Germany at EXPO 2027 Belgrade is another proof that the first Specialized Expo in the Western Balkans will be one of the main global events that year. Therefore, we are very excited to unite the planet in Serbia," emphasized Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.
EXPO 2027 Belgrade will be held from May 15 to August 15, 2027, and it is expected that Serbia’s capital will host more than 120 countries during the 93-day event and attract over four million visitors.
