“This call effectively represents the first major official invitation to Serbia’s cultural and creative community to participate in shaping the content of Expo 2027 through projects that connect art, science, technology, music and social dialogue,” said Bojana Karajović, theatre producer and member of the Culture Council of EXPO 2027 Ltd. Belgrade.
She emphasised that Expo 2027 positions culture as one of the central pillars of the Specialised Exhibition.
“The focus is not only on presenting artistic expression, but also on demonstrating the broader societal impact of culture. The call promotes international and local collaboration, innovation, and inclusion through cultural programmes, while its ultimate goal is to identify and showcase the most representative cultural practices emerging from local communities as part of the main programme of the Specialised Exhibition,” Karajović noted.
She also announced that consultation sessions for all interested applicants would be organised at the offices of EXPO 2027 Ltd. Belgrade from 15 to 17 June, between 10:00 and 13:00. In addition to the members of the EXPO 2027 Culture Council, representatives of all organisations involved in administering the call will be available to provide guidance and support.
“We want this call to serve as an open platform for the entire cultural and artistic community of Serbia, where all applicants have an equal opportunity to become part of the Expo 2027 Belgrade programme through the strength of their ideas,” Karajović concluded.
