Million visitors toured Serbian pavillion at the Expo in Osaka – Serbia ready to welcome 6 million people in 2027
The Serbian Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka has broken all records - more than one million visitors have toured our exhibition “Floating Forest,” even before the official closing of the Expo on October 13.
With this impressive result, Serbia has ranked among the most visited and most remarkable pavilions of the exhibition, confirming that the world has recognized its authentic creative expression, innovative spirit, and unique blend of art, science, and technology.
The concept of the „Floating forest“ was designed to represent Serbia as the country that inspires and connects different cultures, showing that nature and technology can co-exist in the harmononious unity. It is precisely this fusion of the contemporary and the traditional, the rational and the emotional, that has captured the attention of the global audience.
CEO of the EXPO 2027 Belgrade ltd. Danilo Jerinić higlighted that this success goes beyond the statistics and carries a deeper message:
"A million visitors is not just a number - it is a confirmation that Serbia has succeeded in making its mark in one of the most competitive global environments. The audience in Japan recognized our authenticity, energy, and vision – that we are a country that creates, inspires, and connects. Behind this achievement is a team that, with dedication and passion, has shaped the image of Serbia as a place that bridges tradition and the future, art and technology, emotion and knowledge. This experience in Osaka is a powerful conffirmation that Serbia is ready to host major events and that we can rightfully expect up to six million visitors at the Specialized Expo 2027 in Belgrade."
Jerinić has added that the experiences obtained in Japan are already being actively applied in the preparations for the Belgrade Expo.
“Expo 2027 Belgrade will not be just an exhibition – it will be a space for the meeting of ideas, technology, and humanity. Belgrade will become a point on the world map where, through play, creativity, and innovation, it will be demonstrated how the world can collaborate in new ways. Serbia is ready to welcome millions of visitors, but also to showcase its most valuable asset – its creative spirit and the belief that together we can shape the future.”
The success in Osaka sends a clear signal that Serbia is entering the final phase of preparations for Expo 2027 Belgrade with the credibility of a country that knows how to inspire and capture global attention. The Serbian Pavilion has become a symbol of Serbia’s modern identity – open, confident, and ready to show the world that it can host a world-class event that combines innovation, sustainability, and human connection.
