“This event will be an opportunity to build stronger bilateral relations, both political and economic. It also opens the door for further cooperation with Saudi Arabia in preparation for Expo 2030 in Riyadh,” Lazarević pointed out.
The Commissioner of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Section for Expo 2027 Belgrade highlighted the importance of the concept of play as a universal language that connects people and drives societies. “Saudi Arabia takes the concept of play very seriously, as we see it as a universal language that connects people and drives societies. Through Expo 2027 Belgrade, we want to demonstrate how play can open opportunities in people’s lives and create long-term partnerships,” said Tarabzoni, adding that Saudi Vision 2030 places special emphasis on sports, culture, and creative industries as key drivers of growth.
Assessing today’s signing as confirmation of the shared commitment of the two countries to developing cooperation through innovation, culture, education, and modern models of economic connectivity, EXPO 2027 Director Jerinić stressed that Saudi Arabia’s participation contributes to the diversity and quality of the exhibition, creating space for dialogue, knowledge exchange, and new partnerships.
“I believe that today’s moment is not only a confirmation of one country’s participation, but also a strong message that through play as a universal language of humanity, we can connect different worlds, inspire new ideas, and jointly shape a future in which cooperation, creativity, and togetherness come first,” Jerinić concluded.
