Eritrea is located in northeastern Africa, along the Red Sea coast, between Sudan and Ethiopia. Its diverse geography includes coastal plains, mountain ranges, and desert landscapes. The capital city, Asmara, is known for its Italian colonial architecture and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Eritrea takes pride in its rich musical and dance traditions, while in sports, it is particularly known for cycling. Among its notable figures is Zersenay Tadese, a long-distance runner and former world record holder in the half marathon.
