In collaboration with the Kiparh School of Architecture, EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade supports the introduction of architectural innovations in children’s education as a sponsor of various workshops during this year’s Children's October Salon.
"Supporting the initiative to introduce architecture into children's education is part of our broader strategy to promote artistic education and the creative development of children, as EXPO is a place where numerous achievements stemming from boundless creativity are presented. International exhibitions have always provided an opportunity to push the boundaries in architecture – the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Biosphere in Montreal are just some of the key architectural achievements created specifically for such events. We are proud to be a part of this event, which not only promotes children’s creativity but also contributes to the development of future cultural audiences in Serbia," said Dušan Borovčanin, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.
The workshops will offer children the opportunity to learn about the basics of architecture as a discipline, and explore it through practical work and hands-on discovery. The “Drawing as a word” workshop will introduce the youngest participants to design inspired by initials; “Modularity in architecture: Play of light and shadow” will present the concept of modularity and multiplication in architecture; “Geodesic dome” will help them understand the fundamentals of constructing complex 3D shapes and placing them in space; “Leonardo da Vinci’s bridge” will introduce them to the basics of bridge construction and principles of load transfer; “Late night architecture” will enable them to creatively expand the existing city with the side of reality they wish to experience.
