During the AI for Good Global Summit 2026, taking place in Geneva from 7 to 9 July and attended by a delegation of the Republic of Serbia, it was confirmed that Belgrade will host AI for Good Impact Europe on 17 May 2027 as part of Expo 2027. The third regional event of the global AI for Good initiative is dedicated to strengthening cooperation in artificial intelligence and developing partnerships among governments, international organisations, businesses, academia and the technology sector. By bringing together leading global experts, innovators, policymakers and industry representatives, the event aims to exchange knowledge, present the latest AI solutions and encourage international cooperation in sustainable development.
"Serbia is developing its own AI infrastructure, has national supercomputers, invests in knowledge and people, is developing a domestic large language model in Serbian and co-chairs the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI). All of this shows that Serbia is not only a user of new technologies, but is becoming one of their creators. I am particularly pleased that this summit will be held on 17 May 2027 as part of the official business programme of Expo 2027 Belgrade. This is major international recognition both for Serbia and for Expo 2027, which has been recognised as a global platform for the most important discussions about technologies shaping the future of humanity," said Dr Mihailo Jovanović, Director of the Office for IT and eGovernment. The event further positions Belgrade as a meeting place for innovation, technology and global partnerships. Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027, with participation already confirmed by 141 international participants - 135 countries and six international organisations.
