Exhibition Opened at the Expo 2027 Playground to Mark the Closing of the 60th Children’s October Salon

The programme of the 60th Jubilee Children’s October Salon concluded with the official opening of an exhibition at the Expo 2027 Playground, organised this year with the support of Expo 2027 Belgrade in cooperation with the Kiparh School of Architecture for Children.
Throughout October, dozens of young participants took part in a series of creative workshops at the Museum of Applied Arts, exploring themes such as the passage of time, architecture, and play as a driving force of creativity. The result is an exhibition of models, drawings, and installations presenting architectural visions from a child’s perspective.
Particular attention was drawn to the interactive installation “The Pavilion of Play – 60×60”, inspired by the Expo 2027 Pavilion concept and composed of 60 modules designed and assembled by children as a symbol of the Salon’s six decades of existence. Visitors at the Expo 2027 Playground had the opportunity to expand the pavilion with additional elements, reviving, thereby, the spirit of play, the central theme of the upcoming Specialised Expo.
One of the most emotional moments of the event was the “Time Capsule” workshop, during which children placed their drawings, messages, models, and Polaroid memories inside, creating a collective message for future generations, a legacy for the times ahead. The capsule was ceremonially sealed at the Expo 2027 Playground and will be kept at the Museum of Applied Arts until the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Children’s October Salon in 2064, when its contents will become part of that year’s exhibition.
The exhibition of children’s works will remain open to visitors until 31 October, and the entrance is free.
