Expo 2027 Belgrade at the finish line of the 10k Belgrade race Sport as the universal language of humanity

Expo 2027 Belgrade was a proud participant in this year’s “10K Belgrade” race, held last night in New Belgrade as part of the Belgrade Marathon. For the second consecutive year, this collaboration reaffirmed the strong connection between the world’s largest international exhibition and the region’s most important running event. The Expo 2027 brand was prominently visible along the course and in the “sponsors’ village” at Ušće. There, runners and their supporters enjoyed interactive and entertaining activations that offered not only fun but also the chance to learn more about the upcoming Expo 2027. A team of promoters wearing Expo insignia cheered participants along the route, encouraging sporting spirit and the energy of togetherness.

“It was a great pleasure for us to be part of such an inspiring sporting story. Everyone who has run even once knows that a race is more than a competition. It is about camaraderie, encouragement and unity. When you stand by the track and hear the applause, you feel that everyone is breathing as one. That is exactly what we at Expo 2027 want to show - that sport and play bring people together, regardless of where they come from. This is the very essence of our theme ‘Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All’. Our cooperation with the Belgrade Marathon is invaluable to us because it demonstrates that sport has the power to unite and inspire. We believe that in 2027, when we host the largest event in our country’s history to date, this energy of togetherness will be the message that young people will carry forward as the most important legacy,” stated Danilo Jerinić, Director of Expo 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.

The partnership with the Belgrade Marathon has already lasted two years, built on shared values such as the promotion of healthy living, togetherness and cultural diversity. This collaboration will continue to grow through numerous sporting activities in the period leading up to the official opening of Expo 2027.

The International Specialised Exhibition Expo 2027 will be held in Belgrade from 15 May to 15 August 2027. Over the course of 93 days, more than 8,000 individual events are planned, many of which will be dedicated to sport and play. Expo 2027 will leave a lasting legacy in the form of sports infrastructure and cultural-educational spaces that will serve future generations as places of learning, creativity and togetherness.
