The concept of the Specialised Exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade was presented at the “Trebinje 2026: Building the Region” conference, where Tomislav Šarić, Director of Design and Construction, spoke about the significance of the project, the exhibition master plan and its long-term legacy. Participants were presented with key information about Expo 2027, which will bring together more than four million visitors, around 8,000 events and 139 international participants over 93 days.

The presentation placed particular emphasis on the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All”, as well as on the concept of play as a driver of creativity, connection and cooperation. The development plan for the Expo site was also presented, comprising the Thematic Zone, the International Participants Zone and the Best Practice and Corporate Content Zone.

“After Expo closes, the Thematic Zone will be transformed into a Museum District - a dynamic, multifunctional space connecting culture, education and entertainment - while the International Participants Zone will become the new Belgrade Fair. The temporary pavilions in the Best Practice and Corporate Content Zone will be dismantled and converted into public educational institutions, such as schools and kindergartens,” said Tomislav Šarić, Director of Design and Construction at Expo 2027 Belgrade.
