EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade has successfully completed the public procurement procedure for the acquisition of 50 electric city buses and eight fast-charging stations. The contract, valued at EUR 33,247,000 (excluding VAT), has been awarded to a consortium comprising Chariot Motors AD, DAT Holding DOO and Higer Bus Company Limited.

The procurement covers low-floor electric buses equipped with supercapacitor-based energy storage systems, enabling rapid charging via pantograph systems at terminal stations, as well as supplementary charging in depots through CCS-2 connectors.

The project also includes the installation of charging infrastructure at the Expo terminal, Block 20, Vukov Spomenik and Block 45, ensuring full integration with Belgrade’s public transport network.

“Following Expo 2027, all procured buses will be transferred to GSP Belgrade and will continue operating as part of the city’s public transport system,” said Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.

Two compliant bids were submitted in response to the tender for the procurement of electric buses and charging stations.
