Expo 2027 in Banja Luka: Belgrade and the Region Enter a New Stage of Development

With the support of the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia, Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade is being presented from today at the International Business Fair in Banja Luka, held from 13 to 15 May. Visitors can learn about the importance of Expo 2027 for Serbia and the broader economic and development effects the international exhibition will bring to the entire region, particularly the economy of Republika Srpska. The fair also hosted the panel "Expo 2027 - A Development Opportunity for Serbia and the Region," bringing together representatives of institutions, businesses and decision-makers to discuss the investment, economic and development potential Expo 2027 offers Serbia, Republika Srpska and the wider region.
Dejan Šušović, Director of the Commercial Sector at EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, said that Expo reaches far beyond national borders and that its economic, investment and development effects will be felt beyond Serbia. "Everything we are doing today as part of preparations for Expo is directly connected with the regional economy, including companies from Republika Srpska. This creates room for new business, access to modern technologies, innovations and high-quality international partnerships. At the same time, by organising an event of this scale, we are gaining valuable experience and knowledge in areas such as construction, energy, logistics and the organisation of large systems, which we will gladly share with partners and colleagues from the region," Šušović said. The "Banja Luka Expo 2026" International Business Fair brings together companies and institutions from construction, metal and electrical industries, wood processing, technology, household appliances, IT, electronics, robotics, real estate, architecture, design and the financial sector.
