Expo 2027 Playground is Open – A Space for Ideas, Innovation, and Collaboration

Belgrade has gained its first physical space dedicated to the Specialized Expo 2027 with the ceremonial opening of the Expo 2027 Playground in Hall 5 of the Belgrade Fair. This innovative environment not only symbolically opens the doors to the future but also extends an invitation to partners, institutions, creators, and citizens to join in a shared Play for humanity.

The Expo 2027 Playground is conceived as a playground of ideas, a meeting point of imagination and vision, where visitors can experience the values that will shape Expo 2027 Belgrade in a unique way, through multimedia content, themed installations, and a dynamic program. This space already embodies the spirit of the exhibition through openness, creativity, and dialogue.

“Just as Expo 2027 is intended for everyone, both the citizens of Serbia and the entire world, this space we are opening tonight is our shared space, serving multiple purposes. It is, above all, open to all citizens of Serbia and visitors to our country, as well as to all artists, companies and partners, schools, and local communities who wish to learn more about Expo 2027 in an interactive way,” said Dušan Borovčanin, Director of Expo 2027 ltd Belgrade.

As a true epicentre of collaboration and exchange, the Playground connects the worlds of sports, art, technology, and culture, while offering space for inspiration and collective creation. It is designed for a broad spectrum of visitors: from representatives of institutions, companies, and embassies to cultural organizations, schools, young talents, and the creative industries.

The Expo 2027 Playground also provides practical insights for international participants preparing for the exhibition, enabling them to choose between two pavilion options.

“It is a great pleasure to be in this beautiful exhibition space, entirely dedicated to the Specialized Expo that will take place in Belgrade in 2027. This brand-new 2,300-square-meter venue in Hall 5 of the Belgrade Fair opens the opportunity to present our Expo in the best possible light to the citizens of Belgrade and the world. 118 countries have already confirmed their participation in Expo 2027, and we expect the number to reach 130, making Serbia the centre of the world and our exhibition the most successful ever,” stated First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali.

Over the next two years, this space will come alive with a variety of activities such as workshops, exhibitions, and events, creating a network of knowledge, collaboration, and innovation leading up to 2027. The Expo 2027 Playground is not just an introduction to the grand exhibition - it is the first step towards a movement that transcends borders and unites humanity through play, ideas, and a shared vision for the world we live in.
