Expo 2027 Presented in Athens: New Opportunities for Tourism and Business Cooperation Between Serbia and Greece

The “Discover Serbia” project, aimed at promoting Serbia and Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade as a tourism and business destination, was presented in Athens, highlighting opportunities to strengthen tourism exchange, connect business communities and involve Greek companies in the Expo 2027 business programme. Particular emphasis was placed on the business programme, which will serve as a global platform connecting domestic and international companies, as well as the announced launch of the business module of the Expo 2027 app, which will enable businesspeople from around the world to connect even before the exhibition begins. More than 50,000 business events and meetings are expected during the Expo. “For Greece, this exhibition is extremely important, and we have high expectations for our participation,” said Dimitrios Skaikos, Commissioner General of Greece for Expo 2027 Belgrade.
Skaikos said Greece will place particular emphasis on tourism, infrastructure, the film industry and other creative industries, as well as technology, innovation and the potential of small and medium-sized enterprises. The “Discover Serbia” project has so far also been presented in Slovakia, North Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria, with the aim of showcasing the opportunities Expo 2027 offers for tourism, investment and business cooperation. Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027 under the theme “Play for Humanity – Sport and Music for All,” and during the 93 days of the exhibition, Belgrade will become a meeting place for countries, cultures, ideas and business initiatives from around the world.
