Expo 2027 Presented in Ljubljana: New Opportunities for the Slovenian Economy and Stronger Regional Cooperation

Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade was presented in Ljubljana as part of the international Discover Serbia promotion to representatives of Slovenia's economy, tourism sector and institutions. Danilo Jerinić, Leon Korošec and Blaž Cvar addressed the event, while Saša Lavrić and Maja Pak Olaj presented the concept of the Slovenian pavilion. During the event, EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade and the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia signed a memorandum of cooperation to ensure that Slovenian companies receive timely information about participation and business networking. Opportunities for partnerships, knowledge exchange, innovation, and the educational and business programmes were also presented.
“When we talk about the Expo, our great advantage and something we can use together as a region is the opportunity to strengthen our cooperation, because I believe we have a solid foundation on which we can continue to build,” Jerinić said. More than 50,000 business meetings are expected during the exhibition's 93 days, while small enterprises account for more than 99 per cent of registered businesses in Slovenia. Meetings between representatives of the tourism and hospitality sectors were also held, focusing on tourism packages, attracting visitors and strengthening the regional offer. Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade will be held from 15 May to 15 August 2027.
