Expo 2027 Presented in Skopje: Millions of Visits and New Business Opportunities for the Entire Region

At the presentation of Expo 2027 in Skopje, held as part of the “Discover Serbia” programme, Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, spoke about the opportunities the exhibition opens for North Macedonia and the region. Over 93 days, more than four million visits are expected, including 1.2 million international tourists, along with more than 50,000 business meetings and over 140 international participants. Tourism organisations across the region can use the interest in the Expo to present their offers, while companies from North Macedonia can use the business platform to establish contacts with partners and delegations from around the world. Almost 1,000 candidates from North Macedonia have applied for the volunteer programme.
“Expo 2027 is a tremendous opportunity not only for Serbia and Belgrade, but for the entire region. We expect more than four million visits, including 1.2 million international tourists, and we want them to use their stay in Serbia to discover our neighbours as well,” Jerinić said. North Macedonia will present itself in its own pavilion for the first time. Through seven thematic sections, its “All Rhythms of the Sun” concept will showcase the country's contemporary society, culture, gastronomy and tourism offer. Pavilion Commissioner Aleksandar Velinovski said that work was progressing according to plan and was expected to be completed by the end of the year, while the sun is at the centre of the concept as one of the country's most recognisable symbols.
