The Expo Caravan - Pavilion of Play arrived in Leskovac, bringing residents of all generations part of the atmosphere of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade. Leskovac will have an opportunity to present its gastronomy, traditions and cultural heritage to visitors from around the world, confirming that the host of Expo 2027 is not only Belgrade, but the whole of Serbia. Dejan Radojičić, Director of the Finance Sector at EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, highlighted the “Discover Serbia” and “Serbian House” programmes, through which different parts of the country will present their potential, as well as the business platform connecting domestic companies with international participants.
“Expo is not only Belgrade; Expo is the whole of Serbia. That is why we developed the ‘Discover Serbia’ programme, through which we want to encourage guests to continue their journey and discover our country after visiting the exhibition. We expect more than four million visitors, around 1.2 million of them from abroad, and this is a major opportunity to show them Leskovac, southern Serbia and everything for which this region is known,” Radojičić said. More than 15,000 candidates from 140 countries have applied for the volunteer programme, while Vladimir Kostić announced that Leskovac would present its tourism potential, culture and gastronomy at the exhibition. The Expo Caravan is being implemented with the support of Telekom Srbija and Banka Poštanska štedionica.
