Expo Caravan – Pavilion of Play Arrives in Knjaževac

The Expo Caravan – Pavilion of Play continued its journey across Serbia with a visit to Knjaževac, where residents were introduced to Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade and the opportunities it brings to cities and municipalities across the country. Through a programme dedicated to play, music and sport, the people of Knjaževac had the opportunity to learn about the programme content of Expo 2027 and present the talents, traditions and potential of their region. Nemanja Savčić, Project Manager in the Office of the Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, highlighted the importance of the Serbian House programme, through which local governments will be able to present their traditions, culture, economy and other potential, as well as the “Discover Serbia” programme, which will offer visitors tourism packages across the country. “In addition to spending several days at the Expo, we want them to continue their journey across Serbia, get to know our country and visit different regions, thereby contributing to regional development,” Savčić said.

Savčić also noted that primary and secondary school students will have the opportunity to visit Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade free of charge as part of organised school visits, while more than 9,000 applications from over 60 countries around the world have been received for the volunteer programme so far. President of the Knjaževac Municipal Assembly Marko Stojanović emphasised that the town is proud of its history and traditions, but particularly of its children and young people, who demonstrate their talents through play, music and sport. During the programme, visitors were able to participate in the interactive activities of the Pavilion of Play, learn about the participating countries and the potential of Knjaževac, while, with the support of Telekom Srbija, a Platinum Sponsor of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, a space dedicated to innovation, modern technologies and digital solutions was organised.
