Kraljevo on the Road of Play: Expo Caravan Presents the Spirit of the City of Seven Kings

The Expo Caravan - Pavilion of Play continued its journey across Serbia with a visit to Kraljevo, where the "Kraljevo on the Road of Play" programme at Serbian Warriors Square presented part of the atmosphere of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade. Tomislav Sarić, Director of the Planning and Development Sector at EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, stressed that Expo represents a development opportunity for the entire country and a chance for every part of Serbia to show the world its tourism and economic potential, cultural identity, traditions, innovations and development opportunities. "That is precisely why it is important for the spirit of Expo to reach every part of Serbia, because the exhibition will be an opportunity to present the potential of all cities and municipalities, their traditions, culture, innovations and development opportunities," Sarić said. Kraljevo Mayor Dr Predrag Terzić emphasised that, within the Serbian House, the city will present traditional music, performers, accordion players and Kraljevo kajmak, as well as its rich historical, cultural, natural and gastronomic heritage.

Kraljevo presented part of its identity and talent through a performance by the "Riznica" Cultural and Artistic Society, a solo performance by Marta Matković from the "Stevan Mokranjac" Music School and a demonstration of painting techniques by students of the Art School. Visitors were able to create music, earn kilometres for Kraljevo on a digital bicycle, take a virtual tour of the future EXPO Site, discover participating countries and learn about the "Expo Playmakers" volunteer programme, which has so far attracted nearly 8,000 applicants, including more than one thousand from over 60 countries. A special area dedicated to innovation and modern technologies was organised with the support of Telekom Srbija, Platinum Sponsor of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade. The exhibition will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027, with more than 140 confirmed international participants and over four million expected visitors, while the Expo Caravan will continue from Kraljevo to Kruševac.
