As part of the Expo Caravan - Pavilion of Play, Kruševac presented its cultural, historical, economic, tourism and sporting wealth, connecting the heritage of Lazar's City and Lazarica Church with young talents, sports champions and contemporary content. The all-day programme on the Central City Plateau was opened by Jelena Parezanović, Director of the Marketing Sector at EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, and Ivan Manojlović, Mayor of the City of Kruševac. Parezanović stressed that Expo is a platform for discovering the different cultures, histories and traditions of 141 international participants, as well as for learning, international cooperation, business development and attracting investors. She also pointed to the opportunity to present Kruševac and other parts of the country through the "Serbian House" pavilion and the "Visit Serbia" tourism packages, and invited citizens of all generations to join the "Expo Playmakers" volunteer programme. "Volunteers will not only gain experience at a major event, one that may not be repeated in this region any time soon. That experience can be useful not only for personal development, but also for their careers," Parezanović concluded.
Mayor Ivan Manojlović emphasised that Kruševac is proud to be part of the vision of Expo 2027 as a city of rich history, sport, music and young talent, noting that sport and music are a universal language that connects people. The programme featured students of the "Stevan Hristić" Music School and frula player Aleksandar Gašić, while representatives of the Kruševac Regional Chamber of Commerce, local companies and tourism projects presented the area's development potential. Young athletes and clubs in volleyball, karate, kickboxing, boxing, para athletics, swimming, martial arts, rhythmic gymnastics, table tennis and basketball also took part, alongside dance performances, workshops and exhibitions. A special area dedicated to innovation and modern technologies was organised with the support of Telekom Srbija, Platinum Sponsor of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, which will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027, while the Expo Caravan will visit more than 30 locations across Serbia during the year.
