MORE THAN 2,400 VOLUNTEERS REGISTER FOR EXPO 2027 ON THE FIRST DAY

More than 2,400 people applied to volunteer for Expo 2027 Belgrade on the very first day of registration. The volunteer platform opened on 15 May, exactly 365 days before the opening of Expo 2027 Belgrade, and has already attracted significant interest from prospective volunteers in Serbia and around the world. Future volunteers can access the platform at: join.volunteer.expobelgrade2027.org. Additional information is available through the Expo 2027 Belgrade Contact Centre at +381 11 2027 555.

“The response from prospective volunteers on the very first day of registration confirms that many people see Expo 2027 as a unique opportunity to become part of one of the world's most significant events and the largest international event ever hosted in Southeast Europe. They recognise the opportunity not only to attend the Exhibition, but to help welcome the world to Serbia and contribute personally to presenting their country to visitors from more than 130 participating nations,” said Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.

Applications received during the first day also demonstrate the strong international appeal of Expo 2027. Individuals from Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Austria, Azerbaijan, China, France, The Gambia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Canada, and Brazil have already registered, alongside applicants from across the region, including Albania, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia.

Through the volunteer platform, adult applicants from Serbia and abroad can apply for one of 48 roles currently identified as part of the operational requirements for Expo 2027 Belgrade. The platform provides detailed information on the application process, volunteer engagement procedures, and the training programmes associated with individual positions.

Specialised Exhibition Expo 2027 Belgrade will run for 93 days. The volunteer programme supporting the Exhibition is expected to become the largest programme of its kind ever organised in the Western Balkans region.
