Pedini Amati: Serbia Has Recorded Significant Development in Recent Years, and Hosting a Specialised Expo Is a Major Recognition

Federico Pedini Amati, Minister of Tourism, Posts, Cooperation and Expo of the Republic of San Marino, visited the EXPO 2027 Playground, where he was presented with the concept of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade and the progress of preparations for the event, which will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027. The visit included discussions on San Marino's potential participation and the importance of Expo 2027 for strengthening international cooperation and connecting countries. "This is my first time in Serbia, and I am truly impressed by the organisation of Specialised Expo 2027. We are seriously considering San Marino's participation," Pedini Amati said, noting that the decision requires confirmation by parliament and the government.

Igor Kovačević, Executive Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade and Director of the International Cooperation Sector, said that interest among international participants continues to grow and that preparations are proceeding in accordance with the established deadlines. Teams are working daily with the participants' architects, engineers and organisational teams to ensure the pavilions are ready for turnkey handover, while national days, programmes and content are being prepared in parallel. After the EXPO 2027 Playground, the minister will also visit the construction site in Surčin. A total of 141 international participants have confirmed their participation so far, the highest number ever recorded for a Specialised Expo.
