Serbia Pavilion at the China International Import Expo inspired by Expo 2027 – a five-sensory journey

The Republic of Serbia is once again participating in the China International Import Expo (CIIE), taking place in Shanghai from 5 to 10 November. Through its contemporary pavilion design and interactive features, the Serbia Pavilion offers visitors a five-sensory journey through Serbia, inviting the world to Expo 2027 Belgrade.
The architectural composition of the pavilion blends motifs of wheat, wool, and cork, symbolising the fusion of tradition, nature, and craftsmanship that defines Serbia. The atmosphere is enriched by the sounds of both traditional and modern Serbian music, while the wine bar and tasting zone invite visitors to discover the country’s authentic flavours. Natural textures, tactile surfaces, and interactive exhibits physically connect visitors with the pavilion’s narrative, while the aromas of herbs, vineyards, and Serbian cuisine evoke lasting sensory impressions.
The pavilion presents Serbia as a country of opportunity, with a particular focus on agriculture and the food industry, from indigenous wines and traditional beverages to organic products. At the same time, Serbia is showcased as a country of business and innovation, positioning itself as an emerging hub for trade, logistics, and investment cooperation with China and the world.
More than just an exhibition space, the Serbia Pavilion serves as an open invitation to experience the spirit of a country that will soon become the next meeting place of the world, hosting the first-ever Specialised Expo to be held in the Western Balkans.
Visitors and participants of the Expo, one of the world’s leading platforms for the promotion of trade, investment, and innovation, have the opportunity to discover today the country that will, in 2027, host the Specialised Expo 2027 in Belgrade, where the world will gather in the spirit of play, modern technology, and international cooperation.
