Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Đuro Macut visited the construction site of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, with particular focus on Zone E, where the “Serbian House” will be located. The space will enable local governments and different regions of Serbia to present themselves to millions of visitors through culture, tourism, tradition, gastronomy, economy, investment potential and modern development projects. “We will have an opportunity to present our municipalities and regions and show visitors Serbia in all its diversity – from gastronomy, natural beauty and tourism potential to the economy, culture and historical heritage,” Macut said, noting that the “Serbian House” will be one of the most interesting pavilions at the Expo.
Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, emphasized that the “Serbian House” will serve as a starting point for further exploration of Serbia and a place where visitors can discover different parts of the country and learn what else they can see and visit across Serbia. Speaking about the exhibition’s legacy, Jerinić said: “Everything we see today is not being built only for the 93 days of the Expo, but for the future.” After the exhibition, the site will continue to serve new purposes through the Belgrade Fair, while three schools, three kindergartens and around 20 sports halls are also planned. Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027 under the theme “Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All.”
