Slovakia Presents Its National Theme for Expo 2027 Belgrade: "Slovakia - Playground of Opportunities"

At the Second International Participants Meeting (IPM) for Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, the Slovak Republic officially presented the identity of its national exhibition under the theme "Slovakia - Playground of Opportunities." Building on the official Expo 2027 concept, "Play for Humanity - Sport and Music for All," Slovakia positioned itself as a place "where play becomes opportunity." The presentation in Belgrade was delivered by Lukaš Parizek, Commissioner General of the Slovak Republic for Expo 2027 Belgrade, during a working visit focused on technical coordination, cooperation with partners and preparations for Slovakia's national participation. "Here in Belgrade, we are presenting Slovakia as a dynamic space where playful curiosity is the essential tool of progress, innovation and human development, and where play is transformed into concrete innovation, social resilience and personal connections," Parizek said.
Slovakia is among the earliest and most active participants in preparations for Expo 2027 and was the first country to sign a Participation Contract with the organiser. It will be represented by a standalone medium-sized pavilion in Hall 6, covering 648 square metres over two levels and located in a prominent international zone. During the visit, the Slovak delegation held coordination meetings with partners and neighbouring participants in Hall 6, as well as bilateral discussions with representatives of Germany, the United States, France, Russia and Montenegro. The national exhibition will present Slovakia as a modern and innovative country attractive for tourism, investment, culture and international cooperation, based on four strategic pillars: next-generation tourism, the economy, culture and sport. Slovakia Travel is responsible for preparing and delivering the exhibition and coordinating the country's presentation with public- and private-sector partners.
