São Tomé and Príncipe at Expo 2027 Belgrade: Island Nature and Authentic Culture in the Heart of Europe
The Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe is one of the 140 countries that have confirmed their participation in Expo 2027 Belgrade, where it will present its national identity through a combination of rich cultural heritage, natural wealth and sustainable development. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the traditional music, dances and customs of this island nation, which is also known for its status as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and its commitment to nature conservation.
In addition to its rich cultural heritage, São Tomé and Príncipe will present its natural beauty, tourism potential and sustainable development. The country is recognised for its cocoa production, the development of ecotourism and its preserved natural ecosystems, and in recent years it has also actively presented itself at international exhibitions and tourism events.
“Expo 2027 Belgrade represents an opportunity to discover cultures that, through their authenticity and relationship with nature, carry exceptionally important messages about a sustainable future. São Tomé and Príncipe offers precisely such a perspective, showing how culture, tradition and natural resources can develop in harmony,” said Danilo Jerinić, CEO of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Beograd.
