There are 300 days remaining until the opening of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, and preparations are entering a phase in which planning is being completed and implementation is becoming a daily task at the construction site, within institutions and through cooperation with international participants and partners. More than 140 international participants have so far confirmed their participation, the highest response ever recorded for a Specialised Expo at this stage of preparations, while more than four million visitors are expected over the 93 days. Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, said that construction is progressing rapidly, teams are working in coordination and more than 7,300 people have already applied to volunteer. "That energy, together with the record level of international interest, gives us great confidence that we will organise an event that will leave a lasting legacy for Serbia," Jerinić said.
The 300-day countdown continues through the Expo Caravan - Pavilion of Play, which is arriving in Vrnjačka Banja after Trstenik and bringing citizens closer to the exhibition theme, "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," its importance and its contribution to the development of local communities, tourism, the economy and Serbia's international standing. Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027, while the project's lasting legacy will include new transport infrastructure, a new Belgrade Fair, modern public facilities and new opportunities for the development of tourism, the economy, innovation and international cooperation.
