THE WORLD IS WATCHING BELGRADE: CREATION BEGINS ON CEREMONIES THAT WILL TRANSFORM SERBIA'S IMAGE BEFORE MILLIONS
The opening and closing ceremonies of Expo 2027 will be moments when the whole world is watching Belgrade - a global media platform through which a new image of Serbia will be shaped as modern, open and future-oriented. This was the key message from a press conference by representatives of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade and Balich Wonder Studio, one of the world's leading creative studios for major event production and part of Banijay, one of the world's largest independent content producers and distributors. The development of the ceremonies officially began at the EXPO 2027 Playground as one of the most ambitious creative processes in Serbia's recent history. "The focus is on creating an experience that remains after the final applause. Our goal is to create a spectacle together that will not only be watched, but remembered, and that will clearly position Serbia on the map of modern, creative and self-confident societies," said Danilo Jerinić, Director of EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.
The process will combine world-class production with authentic local creativity and place particular emphasis on cooperation with Serbia's creative sector. Simone Merico, one of the founders of Balich Wonder Studio and an expert in the strategic development of major international events, said: "Our approach is to be a tool and an instrument, to create a framework in which Serbia can express itself and its value on the global stage. We truly believe that Serbia can be the gateway to the Western Balkans from the first day of the event." Balich Wonder Studio Ceremonies Director Claudia Cattai added: "We are not coming as outsiders to tell the story of a country to which we do not belong. We are coming to connect with local talent and together deliver what Serbia wants to say to the world." She stressed that the ceremonies will bear the studio's signature, but that Serbia will carry all the pride because it will be a Serbian ceremony.
