The Expo Caravan continued its journey across Serbia with a visit to Vranje, where Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade was presented to citizens through the "Vranje on the Road of Play" programme. The programme brought together young musicians carrying on the tradition of Vranje trumpet music, local gastronomy, successful sports teams, talented students and young programmers, while the development potential of Vranjska Banja was also presented. The audience was addressed by Igor Kovačević, Executive Director and Director of the International Participants Sector at EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, and Dr Slobodan Milenković, Mayor of Vranje. "This summer, play is visiting more than thirty cities throughout Serbia. It is very important that together we learn something new about Expo, discover all the educational elements it will offer, have fun, but also learn something new about certain innovations," Kovačević said.
Kovačević also presented the "Expo Playmakers" volunteer programme and invited citizens to learn about the volunteer positions and opportunities to help welcome more than four million visitors. Milenković emphasised Vranje's connection with the exhibition theme, "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All," noting that the city has been on UNESCO's Creative Cities list in the field of music since 2019 and will present this through the Serbian House pavilion. The segment dedicated to innovation and modern technological solutions was delivered with the support of Telekom Srbija, Platinum Sponsor of Specialised Expo 2027 Belgrade, which will take place from 15 May to 15 August 2027.
