Belgrade’s candidacy to host the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 was presented to the newly appointed ambassadors to Serbia. Nikola Selaković, Serbian Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs once again pointed out that Serbia is the first country in Southeast Europe to submit such a candidacy.

The largest sports and running event in Serbia, the 36th Belgrade Marathon, will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023, starting at 9:00 am in front of St. Mark’s Church. In addition to the half-marathon race of 21 km and the marathon of 42 km, which will also host the national championship, a new addition for all participants is the 10 km race.

With the goal to present the proposed theme “Play for Humanity – Sport, and Music for All” and other key components of the project in detail, Belgrade and Serbia, as a part of their candidacy for the International Specialized Expo 2027, will host a symposium for the Bureau International des Exposition (BIE) delegates.

In early March, a reception was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where the candidacy of Belgrade and Serbia for the organization of the Specialized EXPO 2027 “Play for humanity – Sport and Music for All” was presented. First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dačić addressed the diplomatic representatives, while Dušan Borovčanin, a member of the creative team of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for the EXPO 2027 Candidacy, presented the work done

“Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play.” Heraclitus (535–475 BC) Belgrade and Serbia have applied to host the International Specialized Exhibition Expo 2027.
