The Republic of Madagascar, known for its incredible landscapes, rich biodiversity, and exotic aromas, has officially confirmed its participation in the Expo 2027 Belgrade, which will be held with the theme "Play for Humanity: Sport and Music for All".
This island country in the Indian Ocean first presented itself at International Exhibitions at Expo 1967 Montreal, and since then it has been a regular participant in World and Specialized Expos. Madagascar became a Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) member in 1997, and at Expo 2005 in Aichi, it was rewarded with a Silver Award in the "Content" Category.
"The confirmation of the participation of Madagascar, the fourth largest island in the world, is further proof that Serbia will become a global meeting point for dance, music, and sports in 2027. We are looking forward to the arrival of the country of fascinating nature, vanilla, and baobabs and can't wait to feel the spirit and charm of the distant Indian Ocean in Belgrade", said Dušan Borovčanin, CEO of Expo 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade.
Expo 2027 Belgrade will be the first International Exhibition in the Western Balkans, with the participation of at least 120 countries and international organizations and an expected more than four million visitors during the 93-day event, from May 15 to August 15, 2027.
